Why Bother With Living Food?

Breast milk is a very special substance, in a healthy mother breast milk produces nutrients, enzymes, and friendly bacteria to insure a healthy immune system. After breast feeding you can continue giving your baby nutrients that are easy to digest, enzymes, and friendly bacteria. Stick with Mother Nature, she knows best.

Why living food? Simply put, we cannot beat Mother Nature. When we live within the natural design of the body we have health. Our bodies are designed to be slightly alkaline... alkaline minerals are abundant in raw fruits and vegetables, sprouted nuts and seeds. Our bodies keep our blood at a pH of around 7.4. If it gets to high (alkalosis) or to low (acidosis), we can fall into a coma and death occurs. Before this happens, our body does everything it can to keep us alive. Our bodies take calcium from our bones (osteoporosis) to neutralize the acids, it creates protein garbage dumps (cancer), and it sticks unusable sticky fat on our arterial walls (atherosclerosis).

When our body does not have to use our precious enzyme reserves to digest cooked food (raw food is abundant in enzymes), our bodies use these enzymes for building and repair. Our bodies have to detoxify first! When we eliminate as many toxins and hard to digest food as we can, our immune system is unstoppable.

The living food movement is exploding now as the mistakes of eating fast food is becoming glaringly apparent. I have included many of my favorite teachers so this can be a reference guide for you to expand your studies. When you think about it, if you were God, would you make nutrition hard or simple? You will have people eating different foods from different climates, many never seeing a recipe book. Then there are animals, have you ever seen a horse with osteoporosis? Horses do not drink cow's milk. Have you ever heard of an overweight wild animal? They eat raw.

There are many people who think, "I cannot go all raw; my family wouldn't allow it." While it is true that the more raw food you eat, the healthier you will be, please don't put off adding these foods to what you are already eating. As you feed these foods to your baby, have a helping for yourself. This is the food I eat. Remember, living foods contain life-force energy that adds energy to our bodies, and who doesn't want that?
